Dr. Ural Aküzüm

Dr. Aküzüm is a founder of Alfa Mediation, a member of the Arbitration Center of Istanbul Bar Association, and the vice-chairman of the Istanbul Arbitration Association, a sister organization of the İstanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC), that seeks to popularize arbitration practices in Turkey. Dr. Aküzüm has undertaken various tasks in numerous NGOs and business organizations and served as a board member and an officer of Galatasaray Sports Club and its affiliates for 12 years.

In his academic life, Dr. Aküzüm was the head of the department of Banking, Finance and Insurance at Bilgi University. Dr. Aküzüm was also the head of the department of Constitutional Law at the Law Faculty of Gedik University. Dr. Aküzüm currently serves as the deputy dean at the same faculty and is a faculty member in the department of Administrative Law. Dr. Aküzüm has authored five books and numerous academic articles and spoke at national and international academic symposiums.
